Got this to protect the dash of my 2016 Elantra GT from the brutal SE Texas sun. Also hoped it would help my ac keep the car a little cooler in the summer. It does the job just fine. It's fit is nearly perfect. There is a slight amount of padding so it's around 3/8" thick. I've had it in the car since July. Was planning on only using it during the hot summer months but I've gotter used to it so it will probably stay in year-round. Very pleased so far.
