DHP Eve 6 Inch Thermobonded High Density Polyester Futon Mattress - Tan - Comfortable & Supportive for Small Spaces, Guest Rooms & Dorm Rooms

It is half the size of the one that comes with the original futon in the photo. My aunt gave me this futon a couple years ago. I got a kitten last year and she accidentally peed on it so I had to take the cover off, and I couldn’t put it back on. I wanted to replace the mattress and this futon is what I was looking for. Now, it is easier to mess with because it’s half the size. However, I can feel the bars under the mattress.Never expanded to 8 inches only got to about 6 inches deepNice fast ship. Product not as thick as I thought.I was deeply disappointed by the quality and make of this futon. yes, 2 3-inch pieces of foam stuffed into a rough cushion cover. I gave it a week but it was both visually unimpressive as well as uncomfortable. I quickly found another one which is soo much better at a similar price however I am stuck with this one due to the 380$ shipping fee to return it!!! this is just crazyFilling is cheap and lumpy, but decent overall.I bought the DHP 8", full-size, thermobonded, high density futon mattress from Amazon. I ordered on Oct 7 and took delivery on Oct 12.To comment in one statement on the quality of this futon, "This futon is absolute garbage!" It is supposed to be high density, but you can feel every bed slat thru the futon. It has a lumpy appearance that never smoothed out. It has the consistency of a well used, dollar store pillow. The cover was thinner than any t-shirt. Everything about this futon mattress is of poor quality. I spent $170 plus tax for a product not worth the cost to ship it.I can't speak for every DHP product, but this specific product is of terrible quality to say the least. I wouldn't have written this review if the futon wasn't as bad as I stated.Nice as expectedOur 4 legged kids love itIt's a nice colour and material. The comfort is a zero. The layers of plastic foam inside reminds me of the foam a kids noodle for a pool is made of. The layers are floppy on the ends and its just not comfortable in any way. Hard as rock, feel everything. Do not purchase. Waste of moneyI ordered this futon mattress to put on an old futon that sits on a screened in deck, as the old mattress was a wreck from years of weathering. Well, this new mattress is excellent--almost too nice to put out there! Thick and comfortable, clad in a soft blue outer shell, it looks and feels great. I even slept on it one night and didn't wake up with a sore back or any other aches and pains. Definitely worth the money!Very poor quality. Thin cheap filling. Cannot remove cover - there is a zipper but tufting doesn't allow cover to be removed. Stuffing is loose inside, not inside a case. Very uncomfortable to sit on, you can feel the wood slats of the futon through the mattress. Can't imagine anyone would be able to sleep on it. Very disappointed, especially at this price.Very disappointed with the quality for the price. The mattress was delivered in the box it was folded in a quarter.After 2 weeks the mattress is flat and you can feel the futon bars. I use this in my living room for extra seating not for sleeping and I rotate it often.
